Why we exist

Medical and scientific information can shape research, regulation, clinical decisions, and public understanding. The people who communicate that information need practical learning, ethical guidance, and a strong professional network.

ISMWE was incorporated in Canada to advance education, professional development, and ethical standards in medical writing, medical editing, scientific communication, and publication practice. It brings together experienced professionals and people entering the field from research, healthcare, academia, and the life sciences.

The society is launching in deliberate stages. Membership, webinars, selected resources, and community connection come first. Courses, credentials, tools, and other programmes will be introduced only when they are ready and properly governed.

ISMWE is subject to its filed articles, applicable Canadian not-for-profit requirements, and duly approved bylaws and policies. Leadership names, titles, terms, biographies, and committee details will be published after formal verification, adoption of the relevant governance instruments, and consent.

Scope distinction: ISMWE is a professional society and educational community. This website does not offer commercial medical-writing, bioinformatics, or drug-discovery services.
