Accessibility statement
ISMWE aims to make its public information and participation pathways usable by people with a wide range of abilities, devices, and access needs.

Our current target
The public website is being designed toward Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. This is a delivery target, not a certification claim. ISMWE should complete documented automated and manual testing before approving the statement as effective.
Measures built into the site
- Semantic headings, landmarks, lists, labels, and link purpose.
- Keyboard-operable navigation and a visible skip link.
- Visible focus indicators and reduced-motion support.
- Responsive layouts that reflow for smaller screens and zoom.
- Colour choices designed for readable contrast, with meaning not conveyed by colour alone.
- Alternative text for meaningful images and hidden treatment for decorative graphics.
- Clear form labels, required-field indicators, instructions, and status messages.
External services and documents
Zeffy, Thinkific, LinkedIn, webinar platforms, linked resources, and downloadable documents are operated or published separately. ISMWE should consider their accessibility during provider selection and offer a practical alternative where a participant reports a barrier within an ISMWE programme.
Known limitations
Before public launch, ISMWE still needs to test representative pages with keyboard-only navigation, screen-reader checks, browser zoom, mobile reflow, form errors, and the live external-provider journeys. Future embedded media will require captions, transcripts, and accessible controls as appropriate.
Requesting an accommodation
Use the contact page to describe the page, service, or event involved; the barrier encountered; and the format or adjustment that would help. Do not include medical records or unnecessary sensitive information. ISMWE should acknowledge and address requests through its approved operating process.
Review and improvement
Accessibility should be included in content review, design, development, procurement, event planning, and periodic website audits. The effective statement should identify a review date, an approved contact route, test coverage, and material known issues.
